  • You are now able to safely give to your Parish from the comfort of your arm chair - either online or by phone.
Parishioners discussed the financial situation this week and there is a two step approach.
STEP 1: For people who have not made offerings recently to do this online or via text. So far there is a shortfall of £1200
STEP 2: For people who give by green, pink or in cash to make a regular offering online. (People who give by standing order = no change)

    Why give regularly?
Giving is meant to be a joyful expression of thanks to God from the heart, not a legalistic obligation. Giving  joyfully is one of the five precepts of the Church.
    Why are things changing?
The parish still need to have a collection but in a different way. The church building is closed but the parish are even more active in serving the most needy.
Why do we talk about money, is it not unseemly?
Sixteen of the thirty-eight parables Jesus told were concerned with how to handle money.
Everything we own and everything we have comes from God. So, when we give, we simply offer him a small portion of the abundance he has already given to us.
“I want to give regularly because I want to our parish to be healthier and grow.”  Yes, we need to have an adult conversation and simply share with you realities. The mission of the parish costs, the building costs, wages cost. What we do or don’t do at this time has consequences. The strength of the church is the generosity of its members.
